Phone calls, A ‘TRUE MOVE’ pain in the butt. Okay, so in Thailand you need a Thai number. I got the TRUE MOVE sim card and it was a pain the butt, even when locals tried to help me load the minutes. Here is what worked for me.  Insert the sim card, next dial 9300, this should activate it.  NEXT steps: Have your new load numbers ready or buy a card and scratch the strip to relieve the numbers. Dial this *123*yourcode# then press send, example …   *123*46276233810359# SEND call (using the correct sim if you have duel). To check balance use #123# then send and a pop up should come on screen with the balance available (in English). This worked for me after trying many other ways using the menu options, none of them worked. I only got a message saying my card has expired. Hope this helps somebody looking for answers as I was. Maybe your experience will be better, it will be helpful if you or your friend speaks/understands Thai for setting up the sim card, if not the friendly Thai personal may help you(as was in my case). The load and sim card can be purchased at any 7Eleven found easily at most corners around town. The sim card is 50THB and the load same cost and up to 300THB in increments of 50.
